The Team



The Practice was established in 1995 then known as Van Vuuren and Gerdener Physiotherapists. Since 2012 we practiced as Van Vuuren Physiotherapist.

We are first-line practitioners which means that we do not require a doctor’s referral for treatment. We will do a detailed assessment of each patient and, should we detect any cause for concern, we will refer to the appropriate medical professional.

All our therapists are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the South African Society of Physiotherapy (SASP).

Antoinette graduated from University of Free State in 1991.

She has done continued education courses in Orthopaedic Manipulation Concepts, Visceral mobilisation and Women's Health Physiotherapy.

Antoinette has a special interest in Orthopaedics and Women's Health, especially Pelvic Floor Dysfunction of both Male and Females. Women's Health Physiotherapy deals with problems specific to women and men, due to our particular anatomy and physiology throughout the different stages of life.

She is responsible for the friendly reception of patients and the collection of outstanding debts for the practice.
